~ 가주세요 [ gajuseyo ]
When you need to use a taxi, you do not want to say only destination like ‘Haeundae’. Although many Koreans understand your mother tongue is not Korean, it can sound a bit rude especially in Korean and it does not hurt to be good to people anyways.
The basic form 가다 means ‘go’. The auxiliary verb 주세요 in this expression means closely ‘do a person kindness’, and functions in a similar way as ‘please’ in English.
ex) Haeundae 가주세요 ( Haeundae please ) / 부산역 가주세요 ( Busan Station please )
