16th Busan International Performing Arts Festival Begins its 10-Day Run Today

The 16th Busan International Performing Arts Festival, also known as BIPAF, will take place from May 17th to the 26th at various locations around the city.

The opening ceremony for this year’s BIPAF will be held at Haneulyeon Theater lobby in the Busan Cinema Center tonight at 6:30 p.m.

A total of 24 performances will be held by national and international teams from 8 countries around the world, including UK, Brazil, France, Germany, Israel, Switzerland, Mexico, Italy, Japan, and Korea.

Free street performances will also be held in various parts of the city, including parades, statue mimes, and art balloons.

For the opening performance of the festival, “Freres de sang” will be performed by Company Dos a Deux group from France and Brazil.
