80% Are in Support for Public Pet Parks

The city of Busan has conducted a survey on whether domestic pets should be allowed in public kids’ playgrounds last month through an online-forum ‘Citizen discussion ON AIR’.

80% of the respondents also answered in favor of having playgrounds for pets.

Among 1,063 of the people surveyed, 847 people answered positively while 213 were negative.

According to the city, some have opposed the idea for the pet playgrounds due to the pet owners’ irresponsible behaviors; however, the majority of the opinions were with the idea of specific places for pets where they could play freely.

The city said it will thoroughly examine the survey result and decide whether to put it into a policy.
