All Passenger Ships to Tsushima Suspended from Sunday

All passenger ship routes connecting Busan to central Tsushima Island will be suspended.

According to the Busan Port International Passenger Terminal, passenger vessels between Busan and Izuhara in central Tsushima Island will stop operations starting from Sunday the 18th — suspending all ship routes from Busan to Izuhara.

With this, the International Passenger Terminal at Izuhara will also effectively lose its function.

Tsushima Island is a small city with a population of 32,000.

Last year 410,000 foreign tourists visited the island — 99 percent of whom were South Korean nationals.
