Art Busan 2019 Returns for its 8th Year this Week at BEXCO

Art Busan 2019, which celebrates its 8th anniversary this year, will take place from May 31 to June 2 at the BEXCO Exhibition Center 1 Hall 1, 2, and 3A.

Art Busan was launched in 2012 to meet the goal of making Busan a city of culture and art. It has presented various exhibitions introducing the present and future of contemporary art, and has grown into one of the nation’s largest and most representative culture and art events stimulating the national and local economies.

The annual international art fair will bring together 164 art galleries from home and abroad.

The event will feature local and international art galleries with the highest profiles in the fair’s eight-year history.

Highbrow art galleries such as Kukje Gallery, Gallery Hyundai, PKM Gallery, and Gana Art will be among the 106 local art dealers showcasing works at the three-day fair.

The remaining 58 participating galleries from abroad include Berlin-based Peres Project and Societe and Konig Galerie. Peres plans to hold a large-scale performance painting installation during the art show.
