BTS’s Jimin Donates 100 Million Won to Help Low Income Students in Busan

 

Park Jimin, a member of the world famous K-pop boy band BTS has donated 100 million KRW for students from low-income families in Busan.

The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education (BMCOE) said Wednesday that Park’s father delivered 100 million won to Kim Seuk-joon, the Busan Superintendent of Education, on behalf of Jimin.

The education office has decided to use the generous donation to support students from low-income families of 16 schools in Busan including Busan Arts High School, Geumsa Elementary School, Geumgok and Gamcheon Middle Schools.

It’s the second time he’s made such a donation to the school board. The donation was meant to be kept quiet but was revealed by a local entertainment media outlet.

The 23-year-old Jimin is originally from Busan and graduated from Hodong Elementary School, Yonsan Middle School and Busan High School of Arts.
