Bus Stops With Heated Seats Coming to Busan

Starting from as early as this winter, Busan citizens may be able to wait for buses on heated seats.

Busan city said that it plans to install heated chairs at all bus stops with waiting seats in the city by 2022 as part of its public transportation use revitalization project.

The heated chairs will maintain temperatures between 42 to 45 degrees Celsius, or between 107 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.

The heated chairs will be built to warm citizens waiting for their bus in the cold.

So far, 22 heated chairs have been installed at the one-way section from Dongnae station to Jaesong station bound for Haeundae and more heated chairs will be installed at all 79 BRT stops by end of this month.
