Busan City to Begin “Busan UN Week” from October 24

Busan City said it will designate and operate the Busan UN Week starting this year to pay tribute to Korean War veterans and to express gratitude.

The city said today it will designate this year’s first “Busan U.N. Week” to honor veterans and continue related events every year.

UN Week starts with the U.N. Day ceremony at the U.N. Memorial Park on the 24th of this month, and runs for 19 days until the “Turn toward Busan” event is held on the 11th of next month.

It will divide the “Appreciation Week” from October 24th to 31st and “Memorial Week” from November 1st to 11th and hold various events.

Various events such as conferences, music concerts, and civic walking competitions will be held during the Appreciation Week, starting with the U.N. Day ceremony.
