Busan Destinations: Cool Down this Summer at one of Busan’s Many Water Fountains


During the hot summer months, families can seek relief at fountains around the city.

Here’s a list of fountains around Busan to cool down from the heat.

Samnakcheon Music Fountain

Fountain Hours of Operation: Running for 20-minutes at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. everyday

Directions: Take Metro Line No. 1 to Sasang Station then exit through Exit No. 1 (back of Home Plus next to Renecity)

Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams’ Music Show

Operating Period: Until October 31

Fountain Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday (20-minute run-time) 8:00 p.m.

Weekends & Holidays (20-minute run-time) 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m.

Directions: Take Metro Line No. 1 to Dadaepo Beach Station then exit through Exit No. 4

Busan Citizens Park

Address: 73, Simingongwon-ro, Busanjin-gu, Busan

Operating Period: Until September 30 (Closed on Mondays)

Music Fountain (25-minute run-time)

Weekdays: noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m.

Weekends: 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 9 pm.

Sky Waterfall (one-hour run-time)

Monday – Friday: noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m.

Saturday & Sunday: 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m.

Water Plaza

Weekends, Holidays – 25 minutes every hour from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Weekdays (25-minute run-time) 10:30a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m. (July – August)

Weekends: noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m.

Songdo Park (Songdo Beach)

Operation Period: Until September 30

Fountain Hours of Operation

Monday, Wednesday – Sunday (30-minute run-time) 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m.

Address: 100, Songdohaebyeon-ro, Seo-gu, Busan

Directions: Take bus 34 or 134 from Busan Station southward.

Sasang Neighborhood Park

Operating Period: Until August 31

Hours of Operation: 30 minutes every two hours from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Address: 570, Baegyang-daero, Sasang-gu, Busan

Peace Park in Nam-gu

Operating Period: Until October 31

Hours of Operation: Weekdays: 12 p.m., 4:00 p.m., Weekends: 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m.

Tongil Asiad Park in Saha-gu

Hours of Operation:

May – June, September – October (20-minute run-time) 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m.

July – August (20-minute run-time) 11:00 a.m.. Every hour from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
