Hwamyeong Arboretum will hold a mugunghwa, or Rose of Sharon exhibition from August 7th to the 18th on the arboretum’s Central Square and surrounding areas.
This exhibition is meant to promote and spread awareness of the national flower and to provide visitors with interesting facts about the flower.
According to an official from the city, there has been increased attention over the national flower prompted by the South Korea-Japan economic conflict.
The city will also run free shuttle buses during the summer season, from August 10th to the 31st, every weekend from 1 pm to 5 pm.
There will be 8 round trip shuttles running from Busan Metro Hwamyeong station to the arboretum.
