Busan Opera House Back on Track After Adjustments Made to the Design

After a four-month re-verification on the Opera House design, the city of Busan announced it will proceed with its construction project.
The verified design includes a change to the dressing room location to be closer to the stage, improvements to the stage equipment unloading space, an additional stage humidification system, and standards for selecting lighting and sound equipment for the stage.
To secure additional parking spaces, the city decided to connect with nearby public parking lots using a shuttle bus.
A city official said the city’s verified opera house design is expected to bring cultural change not only to the region but to the country.
The Opera House is set to be completed in 2022 and is currently only 5.3% finished.
