BUSAN, South Korea — An official of the Busan Police Agency said the expansion of the report reward system for drunk-driving will be conducted from the first of next month to the end of the year.
The expansion of the report reward system is due to the reduction of traffic accidents caused by drunk drivers during the period of the test operation.
At the results of the test operation conducted from the 20th May for one month, 50 drunk drivers were caught and 34 drivers lost their license and 14 drivers got a license suspension.
Also, the number of traffic accidents reduced by 22.2 percent and casualties were reduced by 134 people, compared to one month ago before carrying out the report reward system.
