The number of patients with Hepatitis A in Busan city has increased, following a nationwide increase in patients with the infectious disease, that started from the capital region.
The city of Busan said last week that as of April 28th, there have been 91 cases of Hepatitis A reported in the city this year.
There have been 3.8 times more cases so far this year when compared to the same period last year.
In order to prevent the spread of Hepatitis A, the city has set up an infectious disease management team and a joint investigation team.
The teams are investigating people who have come in close contact with Hepatitis A patients and are working to identify the epidemiological relationship of the disease.
