BUSAN, South Korea - The 7th Busan International Kid’s Film Festival will be held July 20-24, 2012 at Busan Cinema Center. The opening and closing films for the 7th Busan International Kid's Film Festival have been selected.
The opening film is “The Great Bear” (original title: Gadkiy Utyonok). It is a 73 minute Danish animated feature film which was directed by Garri Bardin. The Great Bear is an animated fantasy inspired by Scandinavian nature and indigenous storytelling.
The closing film is “The Ugly Duckling” (original title: Den kæmpestore bjørn), directed by Esben Toft Jacobsen from Russia. It is a 75 minute stop-motion animation on color paper inspired by The Ugly Duckling of Hans Christian Anderson’s story.
Tickets to the 7th Busan International Kid’s Film Festival are on sale from July 9th. All films will be subtitled in English.
BUSAN, South Korea -- Starting this week, the Busan Cinema Center has started offering free outdoor movies every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Ten classic movies, including Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Wizard of Oz, will be shown at the outdoor theater, where people can enjoy the relaxed Open Air Cinema atmosphere throughout the summer season with great movies screened on the big outdoor screen. The BCC opened during last year's Busan International Film Festival, and has become a hot spot for short film festivals and concerts ever since.
