Three drivers have been arrested by police since Tuesday for driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to local police, an accident report was received at 12:50 am Tuesday that a truck parked on a road in Sasang-gu was crashed into by a drunk driver.
At around the same time, another driver was arrested for drunk driving. The driver in his 20s had a BAC of 0.155%. He was arrested after ramming the car into a utility pole.
At 5:32 pm Monday, a dump truck driver ran into four other cars, resulting in a multiple car accident.
Police found that the truck driver had a BAC of 0.05%.
Driver’s can have their licenses suspended with the blood alcohol level of 0.03 percent, and have their licenses revoked with 0.08.
Punishment on drunk driving was toughened in June this year when the legal limit of BAC was reduced from 0.05.
