Family of Three Found Dead in Suspected Familicide Case

A family of three has been found dead in a case of suspected familicide via carbon monoxide poisoning in Busan.

A familicide is a type of murder-suicide in which a perpetrator kills multiple close family members including themselves.

The bodies of a 36-year-old man, his wife, and a 5-month-old son have been discovered inside their home on Wednesday at around 6:27 pm in a villa in Guseo-dong, Geumjeong-gu.

According to local police, the family may have made an extreme choice as a suicide note was found in the same place.

The police have requested the autopsies on the bodies as they presume that the three died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
