Heartbroken Teen Rescued After Jumping Into Sea in Tongyeong

A 17-year-old boy was rescued by authorities after jumping into the sea because of a breakup with his girlfriend.

According to local media, the teen had been drinking in a park and dove into the water in the vicinity of Tongyeong Marine Tourism Park in Misu-dong, Tongyeong City.

A passerby noticed the teen and called 119 emergency services.

After police rescued the teen, he was transferred to a local hospital for treatment, though no injuries were sustained.

Police are looking into the cause of the incident.
