Heavy Rain Warning in Effect Until Tomorrow Afternoon

A heavy rain warning has been issued as of 3 pm this afternoon with precipitation forecast to continue until tomorrow afternoon.

The Busan Meteorological Agency said Busan city is expecting 30 to 80 millimeters of rain until tomorrow with as much as 120 millimeters in some areas due to the seasonal rain front moving northward and a vast amount of warm water vapor in the waters south of Jeju island.

Strong winds, lightning, and fog are expected in the port city.  Please be cautious of damage to facilities and traffic safety.

The monsoon season in Korea officially began today and is expected last until September.

Busan has had about 51 millimeters of rain so far. Temperatures are currently averaging at 21 degrees Celsius.
