The City of Busan announced that all residents of the city will be able to receive hepatitis A vaccinations at all public health centers in all 16 regions in the city.
Previously, hepatitis A vaccine was provided only at select health centers listed under the residents’ addresses as the service was limited due to budget constraints.
The city of Busan has recently secured more budget for the vaccine after having held discussions with local gu and gun offices in the city.
Hepatitis A virus can be highly contagious and can cause liver infection.
Signs and symptoms after contracting hepatitis A can include: fever, headache, fatigue, jaundice and others.
It can be prevented by two preventive vaccinations and good personal hygiene practices.
