High Speed Train to Run Between New Haeundae Station to Cheongryangri, Seoul From 2022

A KTX-class high-speed train will run between New Haeundae station and Cheongryangri, Seoul starting from December, 2022.

Barun Future Party lawmaker Ha Tae-kyung revealed photographs of the KTX-class high-speed train yesterday.

KTX-class high-speed train refers to a train that runs at a speed of 250 ~ 300km per hour, which is slower than KTX’s maximum speed of 300km per hour.

The new trains are equipped with cell phone chargers in all seats, reducing passengers’ worry about batteries and installing individual windows at all seats.

In special rooms, VODs are installed in all seats so that users can watch videos such as movies and dramas.

The train is said to be in its final stages of completion and was one of the lawmaker’s campaign pledges during the 20th general election.

Once the train is completed, users will be able to go from Haeundae to Seoul in three hours, less than the four-hour ride on the Mugunghwa train.
