ISB Holds 24-Hour Walk-Run Relay to Raise Money For Cancer Awareness

The International School of Busan family came together to raise funds during ISB24 - Step by Step, a 24-hour walk-run relay to raise awareness and money for the global fight against cancer.

On Friday and Saturday, June 7-8, 2019, students, teachers, staff and their families at International School of Busan (ISB) in Gijang-naeri participated in the ISB24 – Step by Step, a 24-hour walk-run relay to raise awareness and money for the global fight against cancer.

The ISB24 unites our community to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action to finish the fight once and for all.

All proceeds from the ISB 24 Step by Step will go to Dongnam Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences located in Gijang-gun. Doctors and staff from the Institute participated in the ISB 24 Step by Step.

ISB24 Step by Step is part of the ISB service ethic, which is central to the school’s educational philosophy. 

“Service Learning,” connecting the teaching in the classroom with action in the community, is integral to the IB’s vision of teaching peace through global citizenship and environmental stewardship.
