Korea Destinations: Gwangju Toechon Tomato Festival

The Gwangju Toechon Tomato Festival returns for its 17th year of promoting one of the regions biggest agricultural products.

The Toechon region around Gwangju is well-known for its delicious tomatoes and each June showcases each year’s harvest from around Paldangho Lake.

At the festival which runs from June 13th through the 16th, you can purchase tomatoes at a discount price as well as participate in fun activities like the tomato war and a tomato pool.

Other activities, including concerts and performances are also scheduled.
