Three possible candidates for the managerial position of the Lotte Giants have been floating around local media.
Topping the list is ex-Giants manager Jerry Royster, who was the first foreign manager in the league and was a popular figure in Busan for his three-year reign which ended in 2010.
The 66-year-old has remained a popular figure in the city since.
Other candidates include former KBO players Scott Coolbaugh and Larry Sutton.
Four to five Korean managers are also expected to vie for the job.
The Giants’ new GM Sung Min-kyu is currently in America interviewing candidates according to Jee-ho Yoo of Yonhap.
