Teen Stabs and Kills 75-year-old Woman Over Noise in Changwon

An 18-year-old teen has been arrested in the murder of a 75-year-old woman in Changwon yesterday morning.

According to local news outlets, the teen stabbed the woman who lived upstairs on the 6th floor of their apartment building in the stairwell several times at 9:10 a.m. because of her excessive noise.

The victim was seriously injured and transferred to a local hospital but died soon after.

The teen had allegedly dropped out of high school last year and had been suffering from schizophrenia. Whether the teen was male or female wasn’t reported.

Investigators said that the teen, who lived on the 5th floor, was constantly complaining about the noise, though no 112 calls had been reported.

Police are holding the teen until the investigation is complete.
