Myanmar is predominately a Buddhist nation where the majority of its people follow the teachings of Buddha. The vast diversity in ethnicity, language, and lifestyle converges into the grand river of Buddhism wherein people come together.
The life of the Buddha characterized by eons of merit-making provided fertile material for the exquisite Buddhist art in Myanmar. The Buddhist commitment to accruing karma through acts of charity and self-sacrifice in everyday life has persisted in the lives of people in Myanmar.

On display are 50 sculptures of arhats from the ruins of Changnyeongsa Temple in Yeongwol, Gangwon-do, ROK.
The ruins of Changnyeongsa Temple in Yeongwol, Gangwon-do Province, are where the sculptures of arhats, believed to be 500 years old, were first discovered in 2001. In Buddhism, an arhat, or nahan in Korean, is someone who has attained enlightenment and can enter nirvana.
The innovative space for this exhibition was designed and created in collaboration with contemporary artist Kim Seung-young.
Previously, the exhibition was successfully held at Chuncheon National Museum in Aug. 2018 and the National Museum of Korea in Apr. 2019, and was well received by a large number of visitors.

The “2019 Polar Experience Expo” will be held at the Busan Marine Natural History Museum from November 21 to December 29.
The polar region is the last unexplored place on earth, and now it is growing in importance not only in scientific research but also in international relations, beyond the era of challenge and pioneering.
Starting with the relationship between the polar and humanity, this exhibition also presents polar life, research supplies, and polar relics, which are hard to come across. Participants are expected to discover the impact of polar regions on our lives and their new values.
The exhibition will provide information on the natural environment of the polar region, flora and fauna of the polar region, scientific research in the polar regions, and information on cooperation among nations centered on the polar regions and polar pioneers.
Audiovisual experience programs such as the operation of a laboratory, a polar movie theater and it consists of hands-on classrooms for various experiences such as ice-breaking, board games, penguin games, underwater drones, and making polar eco-bags.
In particular, during the exhibition period, polar commentators of the Polar Ocean Future Forum will stay in the exhibition hall and provide visitors with polar commentary services to help visitors to relax.
The opening ceremony will be held at 4 pm on November 21st. Participation is through pre-registration and can be submitted by email (araonday@daum.net).
In addition, at 11 am every Saturday during the experience exhibition, the ‘People’s Polar Course invited by the Institute of Polar Research Institute’ will be held.

The famous Busan International Women’s Association’s Christmas Bazaar Returns to the Haeundae Grand Hotel, Convention Hall (2nd floor) on Sunday, December 8th, 2019 from 10 am – 4 pm.

The Hanbok Hall exhibits hanboks and accessories during the period of the Joseon Dynasty and lets visitors try on various styles of hanboks, including modern designs. Visitors are able to take a photo from the virtual fitting set and then receive a photo of themselves wearing a hanbok, traditional Korean dress, by email.
The Busan Hanbok Hall is located on the first floor of BEXCO auditorium and is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free.
The last admission is 30 minutes before closing and is closed during lunch, which is from noon until 1 pm. Groups of more than 10 people need to make a reservation by calling 070-8840-1472.

Magic Circus is a permanent magic performance event for the first time in Korea and is hosted and organized by the City of Busan and the Busan International Magic Festival Organizing Committee.
The magic show will take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between April 12 and December 29, 2019 at the East Busan Lotte Mall. It will be a magical family-oriented event enjoyable for both children and adults.

On display are 50 sculptures of arhats from the ruins of Changnyeongsa Temple in Yeongwol, Gangwon-do, ROK.
The ruins of Changnyeongsa Temple in Yeongwol, Gangwon-do Province, are where the sculptures of arhats, believed to be 500 years old, were first discovered in 2001. In Buddhism, an arhat, or nahan in Korean, is someone who has attained enlightenment and can enter nirvana.
The innovative space for this exhibition was designed and created in collaboration with contemporary artist Kim Seung-young.
Previously, the exhibition was successfully held at Chuncheon National Museum in Aug. 2018 and the National Museum of Korea in Apr. 2019, and was well received by a large number of visitors.

The “2019 Polar Experience Expo” will be held at the Busan Marine Natural History Museum from November 21 to December 29.
The polar region is the last unexplored place on earth, and now it is growing in importance not only in scientific research but also in international relations, beyond the era of challenge and pioneering.
Starting with the relationship between the polar and humanity, this exhibition also presents polar life, research supplies, and polar relics, which are hard to come across. Participants are expected to discover the impact of polar regions on our lives and their new values.
The exhibition will provide information on the natural environment of the polar region, flora and fauna of the polar region, scientific research in the polar regions, and information on cooperation among nations centered on the polar regions and polar pioneers.
Audiovisual experience programs such as the operation of a laboratory, a polar movie theater and it consists of hands-on classrooms for various experiences such as ice-breaking, board games, penguin games, underwater drones, and making polar eco-bags.
In particular, during the exhibition period, polar commentators of the Polar Ocean Future Forum will stay in the exhibition hall and provide visitors with polar commentary services to help visitors to relax.
The opening ceremony will be held at 4 pm on November 21st. Participation is through pre-registration and can be submitted by email (araonday@daum.net).
In addition, at 11 am every Saturday during the experience exhibition, the ‘People’s Polar Course invited by the Institute of Polar Research Institute’ will be held.

The Hanbok Hall exhibits hanboks and accessories during the period of the Joseon Dynasty and lets visitors try on various styles of hanboks, including modern designs. Visitors are able to take a photo from the virtual fitting set and then receive a photo of themselves wearing a hanbok, traditional Korean dress, by email.
The Busan Hanbok Hall is located on the first floor of BEXCO auditorium and is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free.
The last admission is 30 minutes before closing and is closed during lunch, which is from noon until 1 pm. Groups of more than 10 people need to make a reservation by calling 070-8840-1472.

The 2019 Garden of Light Show begins this evening and will commemorate the ASEAN-Korea Summit and the Haeundae Light Festival in Haeundae.
Every evening, guests can enjoy a fantastic atmosphere with special music and a light show to bring more holiday spirit to the city.
