
To celebrate the Year of the Dog, the Busan Museum is holding an exhibition titled “Our Old Friend, Dog,” from Friday, February 9 to Sunday, July 1, 2018. The zodiac exhibition for the year has been held at the beginning of every year since 2007 to introduce our traditional folk culture, and to share a new hope and expectation for the new year with guests.
This exhibition will present a total of 12 pieces of dog-themed artwork, including Korean wood sculptures of dogs and, old and contemporary paintings of dogs.

The Hanbok Hall exhibits hanboks and accessories during the period of the Joseon Dynasty and lets visitors try on various styles of hanboks, including modern designs. Visitors are able to take a photo from the virtual fitting set and then receive a photo of themselves wearing a hanbok, traditional Korean dress, by email.
The Busan Hanbok Hall is located on the first floor of BEXCO auditorium and is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free.
The last admission is 30 minutes before closing and is closed during lunch, which is from noon until 1 pm. Groups of more than 10 people need to make a reservation by calling 070-8840-1472.

The ‘Julian Opie in Busan’ exhibition will be held at F1963. This is the artist’s first exhibition in Busan and will include works of paintings, sculptures, and media art. Julian Opie is a contemporary British artist known for his distinctive depictions of figures, portraits, and landscapes.

The Hanbok Hall exhibits hanboks and accessories during the period of the Joseon Dynasty and lets visitors try on various styles of hanboks, including modern designs. Visitors are able to take a photo from the virtual fitting set and then receive a photo of themselves wearing a hanbok, traditional Korean dress, by email.
The Busan Hanbok Hall is located on the first floor of BEXCO auditorium and is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free.
The last admission is 30 minutes before closing and is closed during lunch, which is from noon until 1 pm. Groups of more than 10 people need to make a reservation by calling 070-8840-1472.

The ‘Julian Opie in Busan’ exhibition will be held at F1963. This is the artist’s first exhibition in Busan and will include works of paintings, sculptures, and media art. Julian Opie is a contemporary British artist known for his distinctive depictions of figures, portraits, and landscapes.

The 20th anniversary exhibition of the Busan Museum of Art I
The exhibition will explore the birth of modern art in Busan during Japanese colonial rule.

Beginning in the summer of 2012, ‘Free Outdoor Movie Screenings’ have been held at the Busan Cinema Center. We invite all of you again this year to enjoy special evenings at the Busan Cinema Center.
The ‘2018 Free Outdoor Movie Screenings’ at the Busan Cinema Center will be held weekly every Wednesday from May to September at 8pm at the outdoor theater of the Busan Cinema Center.
The outdoor theater, where the opening and closing ceremonies of the annual Busan International Film Festival are held, has 4,000 seats under a giant roof, which has become a symbol of the Busan Cinema Center.

To celebrate the Year of the Dog, the Busan Museum is holding an exhibition titled “Our Old Friend, Dog,” from Friday, February 9 to Sunday, July 1, 2018. The zodiac exhibition for the year has been held at the beginning of every year since 2007 to introduce our traditional folk culture, and to share a new hope and expectation for the new year with guests.
This exhibition will present a total of 12 pieces of dog-themed artwork, including Korean wood sculptures of dogs and, old and contemporary paintings of dogs.

The local Farmers’ Market has been operating every Thursday from 10am to 6pm at Busan City Hall since April 2012.
The market will be held on the street between Busan City Hall and Busan Metropolitan Police Agency.
Local agricultural products, including rice, tomatoes, various fresh vegetables and much more from Busan and the Gyeongnam area will be sold at discounted prices.
