An Invitation to the Buddhist Art of Myanmar
Myanmar is predominately a Buddhist nation where the majority of its people follow the teachings of Buddha. The vast diversity in ethnicity, language, and lifestyle converges into the grand river of Buddhism wherein people come together.
The life of the Buddha characterized by eons of merit-making provided fertile material for the exquisite Buddhist art in Myanmar. The Buddhist commitment to accruing karma through acts of charity and self-sacrifice in everyday life has persisted in the lives of people in Myanmar.
The exhibition will be a special opportunity for you to explore Myanmar’s Buddhist artwork, which is full of religious devotion and fascinating narratives.
