The 21st Busan International Travel Fair takes place at the BEXCO Exhibition Center 1, BEXCO for four days from Friday, September 7 to Monday, September 10, 2018. The fair, held under the slogan of “The World to Busan, Busan to The World,” will become a special travel festival together with about 40 countries. The fair will provide a wealth of tour information of each country to visitors. In addition, it will serve as an opportunity to promote tour exchanges and international friendships through the participation of domestic and overseas local governments, those in the tourism industry, and other visitors. The fair also aims to contribute to the development of tourist businesses and stimulate the market for inbound tourism in Busan areas.

 The fair consists of a variety of special programs and events, including ‘Domestic Travel Promotion Pavilion,’ which is attended by local governments, public institutions, and tourism-related institutions and associations, ‘Overseas Tour Promotion Pavilion,’ attended by invited embassies and tourist boards from around 40 countries, ‘Special Travel Packages Sales Pavilion,’ featuring special offer domestic and foreign travel packages, ‘Travel Products Sales Pavilion,’ which sells leisure and travel goods, etc., and ‘World Food Festival,’ where visitors can sample and buy foods from various countries. The fair will also comprise ‘Tourist Business Pavilion,’ ‘Mega Event Promotion Pavilion,’ and ‘Travel Information Exchange Pavilion.’ Additional diverse events will be provided, including ‘Domestic and Foreign Traditional Performances,’ ‘Traditional Culture Experience Pavilion,’ ‘World Traditional Clothes Experience Pavilion,’ and ‘Prize Lottery.’

 The Busan International Travel Fair is held on an international scale in an era of globalization. The event is expected to continue to offer an abundance of travel information of the world and contribute to the development of the Busan travel industry.

Busan Biennale 2018 @ Museum of Contemporary Art Busan and the former Bank of Korea in Busan

Busan Biennale 2018 will be held from September 8 to November 11 at Museum of Contemporary Art Busan and the former Bank of Korea in Busan, under the theme of “Divided We Stand.” The 65 participants from 34 countries were selected. This edition of Busna Biennale will present an opportunity to reflect, ponder and communicate on the psychological trauma left by physical division, having a profound impact on human lives since the 20th century.

Hanbok Experience Hall @ BEXCO Auditorium

The Hanbok Hall exhibits hanboks and accessories during the period of the Joseon Dynasty and lets visitors try on various styles of hanboks, including modern designs. Visitors are able to take a photo from the virtual fitting set and then receive a photo of themselves wearing a hanbok, traditional Korean dress, by email.

The Busan Hanbok Hall is located on the first floor of BEXCO auditorium and is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free.

The last admission is 30 minutes before closing and is closed during lunch, which is from noon until 1 pm. Groups of more than 10 people need to make a reservation by calling 070-8840-1472.

The collection exhibition 《Private and Historical》presents the works from the collection of Busan Museum of Art, base on the works of the local artists in their late 40s to 60s and analogize the artists’ processes of activities and the trace of the museum. The Busan International Architectural Culture Festival (BIACF) is hosting the Busan Architectural Tour every Saturday and Sunday from March to November in 2018.

The tour aims to promote Busan’s outstanding urban architecture to Korean and foreign tourists and residents. The guided tour will be provided in Korean and has three courses – Architecture Tour in Old Town, Centum City and Culture Belt.

The tour begins at 2:00 p.m. every Saturday and 10:00 a.m. every Sunday and takes about three hours. Online registration is required at www.biacf.or.kr. (Korean) The tour requires at least three attendees to register until the day before the tour date.

The tour costs 5,000 won per person and souvenirs will be provided to participants.

The Busan International Architectural Culture Festival (BAF) is an open and public organization that has been hosting a variety of events since 2001, including international design competitions, academic conferences and lectures, workshops, exhibitions, events, and research service projects in order to seek and implement ways to develop the architecture and city environment of Busan with the participation of architects and interested citizens.

The 21st Busan International Travel Fair takes place at the BEXCO Exhibition Center 1, BEXCO for four days from Friday, September 7 to Monday, September 10, 2018. The fair, held under the slogan of “The World to Busan, Busan to The World,” will become a special travel festival together with about 40 countries. The fair will provide a wealth of tour information of each country to visitors. In addition, it will serve as an opportunity to promote tour exchanges and international friendships through the participation of domestic and overseas local governments, those in the tourism industry, and other visitors. The fair also aims to contribute to the development of tourist businesses and stimulate the market for inbound tourism in Busan areas.

 The fair consists of a variety of special programs and events, including ‘Domestic Travel Promotion Pavilion,’ which is attended by local governments, public institutions, and tourism-related institutions and associations, ‘Overseas Tour Promotion Pavilion,’ attended by invited embassies and tourist boards from around 40 countries, ‘Special Travel Packages Sales Pavilion,’ featuring special offer domestic and foreign travel packages, ‘Travel Products Sales Pavilion,’ which sells leisure and travel goods, etc., and ‘World Food Festival,’ where visitors can sample and buy foods from various countries. The Hanbok Hall exhibits hanboks and accessories during the period of the Joseon Dynasty and lets visitors try on various styles of hanboks, including modern designs. Visitors are able to take a photo from the virtual fitting set and then receive a photo of themselves wearing a hanbok, traditional Korean dress, by email.

The Busan Hanbok Hall is located on the first floor of BEXCO auditorium and is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. It is closed on Mondays. Admission is free.

The last admission is 30 minutes before closing and is closed during lunch, which is from noon until 1 pm. Groups of more than 10 people need to make a reservation by calling 070-8840-1472.
