Ulsan Selected to Host 2019 Asia Song Festival

The 2019 Asia Song Festival will be held this October in Ulsan, where musical artists from Korea and around Asia will be on stage to perform for two nights.

Ulsan city announced the city was selected as the venue for the 16th Asian Song Festival held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in late June.

The Asia Song Festival is an event organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in order to promote exchanges among Asian countries and spread K Pop since 2004.

The city plans to hold the event in the Taehwa River National Garden for two days in mid-October.

Busking and various other events make up the festival along with an international seminar to discuss and discuss trends in the world music market.

The event had been held in Busan the past five years and is put on by the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange.
