WeWork, a company that provides shared workspaces for technology startups and services for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and small businesses, has opened in Seomyeon.
The company held a ceremony Tuesday on the third floor lounge with General Manager Matt Shampine and Busan Mayor Oh Keo-don in attendance.
The first WeWork branch in Busan, capable of providing spaces to 700 people, is using the third to eighth floors of the new Hyundai Card Busan building.
The office is equipped with lounges, large-screen projectors, cafeteria, and a rooftop for the members to use.
The company also announced that WeWork BIFC, their second building in Busan, will be opening will be in the third quarter of this year. WeWork BIFC will he located in the new BIFC2 building and will accommodate over 700 members.
The company has more than 400,000 members across 425 branches in some 100 cities in 27 countries.
