Fiesta is set to open in June, bringing a new shopping and leisure experience in the heart of Seomyeon.
It is not designed like a conventional shopping mall but rather a complex space containing various experience centers, food, shopping, culture, and arts.
The new landmark of Busan will introduce trendy concepts on each floor.
According to local media, the new mall will reportedly have some already popular brand names and new features in Busan.
The works of Charles Fazzino, one of the best 3D pop artists in the United States, will be displayed on the outdoor plaza and the 7th floor and will also function as a cultural space.
In the outdoor square in front of the Fiesta, there will be a “Shopping Bag” exhibition featuring images of landmarks in Busan like the Gwangan Bridge, Marine City, Busan Cinema Center, and Oryukdo among others.
Images of Fazzino’s hometown of New York including the Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, and Central Park will be on display.
On the first floor, there will be a variety of popular franchises including a Premium Starbucks Reserve High Profile, which will be the third in Korea after the Jongno and Haeundae stores. Shake Shack is also set to make its debut in Busan.
From the second to fourth floors, American Tex-Mex casual dining restaurant On the Border gets its first Busan location, as well as the largest Wonder Place in Busan, and a Books Libro, will also open.
On the 5th and 6th floors, there are restaurants and cafés such as The Alley, Outback Steakhouse, Sushi Bar, Yudong Coffee, Dalijib, Hongdae Gaemi, and Food Truck.
On the seventh floor, a specialty floor for women with children includes a Champion Kids Cafe, Cooking Studio, a Lee Kaja Hair Studio, and a nail salon for the convenience of female customers.
The 8th floor is a lounge area with an experience zone which is expected to rotate monthly.
The 9th floor will contain cartoon cafes, PC cafes, and ‘The Market’, an indoor market space for Busan youth entrepreneurs.
On the 10th floor, there is a sports theme park with the motto of the popular Korean entertainment program “Running Man”.
A three-story CGV with recliners, also a first in the city, will occupy the 11th to 14th floors where you can enjoy movies more comfortably.
The 15th and 16th floors will hold the new e-Sports stadium and will feature a main competition arena, a secondary arena, and various specialized facilities. The stadium is set to open in 2020.
The mall is opening in the previously unoccupied glass building down from Judie’s Taehwa which was owned by POSCO E&C, but had never been used in 13 years since it was built.
POSCO E&C completed the contract with the existing distributor in November 2017 and sold it to Samjung last December.
The building also has six underground levels for parking.
No date has been set for the opening.
